Severe Wind

Windstorms severe enough to cause damage may occur at infrequent intervals and may be accompanied by torrential rains. Property and equipment should be properly anchored, tied down, or moved inside a building or tied down.

The best protection in severe winds is in permanent buildings with windows closed. Persons should be moved to these buildings rather than evacuated. If winds cause property damage, call Campus Safety immediately at 559-791-2440. If an emergency situation arises, immediately call Campus Safety or call 911.

When severe winds have stopped, Campus Safety, Maintenance & Operations, and other college staff will inspect the campus for damage.
