President

Candidate Statement:

Hey everyone! My name is Isaac, and I’m running to be your next ASPC President. You’ve probably seen me around campus giving tours, helping out at events, or running to my 9am because I overslept. As a student ambassador and full-time nursing major, I understand how overwhelming college can be, and I want to help make our time here feel more connected, supportive, and fun.

Let’s be real a lot of students don’t even know what ASPC is, or that we have a student government at Porterville College. I want to change that. If elected, I’ll work to make ASPC more visible, more involved, and more in touch with what you, the students care about. My goal is to be your messenger, to listen to your concerns, ideas, and the changes you want to see, and make sure your voice is heard where it counts. I also want to improve campus events so they’re more exciting, inclusive, and reflect more of what students want. You deserve a student government that represents you. And with your help, I’d love the chance to be your next ASPC president.

Candidate Statement:

My name is Andrew Khazal. I’m a first year biology major at Porterville College with a 4.0 GPA and a huge passion for science, math, leadership and student advocacy. Over the past year I’ve been very active on our campus while balancing a challenging academic life, fitness journey and a part-time job. I'm running for ASPC President motivated by my curiosity to learn and passion for helping other students to ensure every student's voice is heard, valued, and represented. My goal is to build a more supportive and connected environment by promoting student involvement in the PC community.
