Navigate faculty

Navigate logo

Navigate is a user-friendly program that allows PC faculty to follow along on each student's journey. To learn more about Navigate, please email navigate@portervillecollege.edu

What Can Faculty do in Navigate?

  • Submit Early Alerts, Grade Reports, check on student's academic success all in one place.
  • Follow up on early alert referrals and student communication.

Navigate should not replace Canvas for instructional use and communication. It should be used as a supplement to instruction.

Please contact your Dean for more information on Messaging Policies & Guidelines.

  • Navigate will launch Fall 2019 with small pilot groups around campus with services like Early Alert, Grade Reports for Athletes, Kiosks for Writing Center, and Scheduling Appointments for select departments.
  • Throughout Spring 2019, the Navigate Design Task Force will continue to build functionality to reach additional staff groups.

ALERTS: Please do not use Navigate to report to the Behavioral Intervention Team, which is related to student conduct. The ALERTS in Navigate are Early Alerts that are sent to Early Alert counselors.

EARLY ALERTS: View the Early Alert Instructions for Faculty, and you can also visit the Early Alert Information site

GRADE REPORTS: You may receive an email from the Athletic Director about grade reports for athletes in your class. You can use the link in the email to fill out an electronic grade report or you can log in to Navigate to complete these.
