Porterville College is undergoing a comprehensive accreditation review with the Accrediting Commission for Community and Junior Colleges (ACCJC). This process is a vital step in ensuring our commitment to providing high-quality education and services to our students and community.

 

Your input is crucial to our success in this endeavor. We are seeking feedback from our community members to help us demonstrate the positive impact of our institution on our students, faculty, staff, and the broader community.

Porterville College is seeking third-party comments concerning its ability to meet Standards for Accreditation. Any member of the college community or public may submit a third-party comment by completing the Accrediting Commission for Community and Junior Colleges (ACCJC) online third-party form, available by clicking the button below or the link in the footer on every page of this web site.  In order to ensure proper evaluation of applicable third-party comments by the peer review team, third-party comments should be received by the Commission staff no later than five weeks before the peer review team’s focused site visit.

The Accrediting Commission for Community and Junior Colleges (ACCJC), Western Association of Schools and Colleges, at its meeting January 9-11, 2019, reviewed the Institutional Self Evaluation Report (ISER) and evidentiary materials submitted by Porterville College. ACCJC acted to Reaffirm Accreditation for 18 months and require a Follow-Up Report, due no later than March 2, 2020, followed by a visit from a peer review team.

 

Reaffirmation is granted when an institution is found to substantially meet or exceed the Eligibility Requirements, Accreditation Standards, and Commission policies…"

Third-party Comment

A third-party comment may be submitted to the Commission at any time as it relates to the compliance of a member institution with Eligibility Requirements, Accreditation Standards, or Commission policies. Such comment must be submitted in writing, signed, and accompanied by the affiliation, return address and telephone number of the correspondent. Commission staff will review all third-party comments to assess its applicability to Eligibility Requirements, Accreditation Standards, or Commission policies. Institutions will be provided with an opportunity to review applicable third-party comments.

 

Individuals who wish to make comments on the institutions that are undergoing review in the current semester and that are being considered by the Commission at its next meeting, should use the Third Party Comment Form and be sure to include their name, address, phone number, and email address. The comments must be received five weeks before the scheduled Commission meeting.
