President Monarrez Discusses Road Realignment Project
Porterville College Interim President Primavera Monarrez hosted an information session to discuss the ongoing campus road realignment project this week. The session provided an opportunity for PC faculty and staff (and students, in a following Zoom session) to learn more about the project's timeline, potential challenges, and the impacts on campus traffic.
During the meeting, President Monarrez outlined the project's goals and the expected benefits, such as improved campus accessibility and safety. She also addressed concerns about parking lot closures and traffic diversions on East College Avenue, providing updates on the current situation and future plans.
The session concluded with a Q&A period, where attendees were encouraged to share their experiences and ask questions about the project. President Monarrez emphasized the importance of feedback and assured the campus community that their input would be considered as the project progresses.
