Officer Kenneth Clifford

Officer receives award

Lindsay Police Department, Reserve Officer Kenneth Clifford, who graduated from the Porterville College Police Academy, Class 33, in April 2023, was recently recognized with a commendation for his lifesaving efforts on the job. His quick action saved a man’s life, and they got him the medical attention and services he needed in a crisis.

When asked about this honor, Officer Clifford said, “[The scene] was a little chaotic, upset people were crying, and I could utilize my training from PC to provide lifesaving medical aid to one of the involved parties. I am more confident in my abilities due to the training I received here.”

He also appreciated the strong support built into the academy program. “It’s great to have someone in your corner, to feel supported through the program, even after the program, to feel still supported, to still have continual follow-up, career support, education support. It makes me feel more confident on the job today.”

Great job, Officer Clifford! Way to put your PC training to use in your career!
