CHAP Honors Veterans With Panel Discussion

In Celebration of Veterans Day, The Porterville College Cultural and Historical Awareness Program (CHAP) partnered with the PC Veterans Services Office to present a Veterans Day Panel Discussion this past Thursday in the PC Quad.

It was a beautiful day as students, faculty, staff, and the community gathered outside to hear from a panel of veterans. PC Students Miriam Orbe (Army) and Silvester Rodriguez (Navy) were joined by PC Employee and Army Veteran Amy Tanguma and PC Veterans Organization Advisor Greg King (Army) to discuss their time in service and their transition back into "regular" life afterwards. The wonderful discussion, moderated by Marilyn Pankey, covered many areas of the panelists lives as veterans and students.
