Celebrating Heritage at PC

Students Share Elotes in the Quad

PC Student Life and the ASPC Held a final celebration for Hispanic Heritage month this week with tasty elotes for everyone and a piñata breaking in the quad.

The quad was full of the amazing smells of sweet corn elote and the sounds of traditional music as students gathered to close out Hispanic Heritage Month with one final celebration. Each year, Americans observe National Hispanic Heritage Month from September 15 to October 15, by celebrating the histories, cultures and contributions of American citizens whose ancestors came from Spain, Mexico, the Caribbean and Central and South America. PC Celebrated this month with a series of events and a special student project highlighting Porterville College faculty, staff, and administrators with Hispanic heritage.

If you haven't yet had a chance to check them out, head on over to the pc_pirate_life TikTok account or the PCStudentLife Instagram Page to see a series of videos celebrating our Heritage with PC's faculty, staff, and administrators.
