CHAP Kicks off season with spirited discussion on reproductive rights and constitutional privacy
The Porterville College Cultural and Historical Awareness Program celebrated Constitution Day with a very appropriate topic. The event, titled “The Future of Women’s Health After Dobbs” kicked off this CHAP season on Tuesday, September 17 at 11:30 am inside the Porterville College Theater.
Renowned political science educator Darlene Haines delivered and enlightening presentation that was followed by a spirited conversation with the audience on the subject.
Please take a few moments to watch the video of the event below, especially if you couldn't make the event.
CHAP's next event will be held this coming Thursday, September 26th. The event titled, "Tule River Yokuts Spirituality and Practice", is scheduled for September 26th from 11:30-12:30 in the PC Theater.
We are incredibly grateful that three leaders from the Yokuts Tribe will be participating in what should be an incredible panel discussion on Yokuts spirituality and practice.
